"Jill Block is Rocking Out as a Super Chick"

Jill Block has shared the stage with Country Music greats and the coolest alt.country and Americana artists in the business. She has opened shows for Billy Joe Shaver, Rodney Crowell & Jim Lauderdale and performed with Kevin Welch, John Cowan and Joy Lynn White.
As the wife of Western Beat music entrepreneur Billy Block, Jill has been at the forefront of the growing alt.country and Americana music scene for years. She can be found every Tuesday night at “Billy Block’s Western Beat Roots Revival” concert series and radio show and has consequently seen hundreds of bands from around the country and the world. This, she says, has been one of the keys to her success. “I have discovered many of the songs I’ve recorded, the musicians I work with, and the relationships I’ve developed with my co-writers at Western Beat.” I’ve also gotten the opportunity to develop my stage show with frequent appearances on Billy’s show,” she adds. “I’ve learned how to work an audience. From an intimate listening room to an outdoor arena it’s all about really connecting in a genuine way.”
There is no doubt that Jill Block has become one of Nashville’s finest live entertainers.
“She brings the house down every time she takes the stage. Her voice and presence is powerful, and her songs and music always get me out of my seat,” adds long time fan, Sutton Flynn, who with his wife Debbie drives an hour each way to see Jill perform in Nashville. “Her show thrills us,” adds Debbie. “We wouldn’t miss it and wait for the opportunity to come back for more. Either with her band or all alone with her guitar, she is amazing.”
Jill has appeared on the stage of the legendary Ryman Auditorium and Fan Fair in Nashville, she has toured the South East both with her band an as a solo acoustic artist. Block has recently returned from shows in Texas and has performed in Los Angeles and San Francisco. She is currently promoting the release of her Western Beat Records sophomore CD, Tang The Hump, co-produced by husband Billy Block and Grammy award winner Dennis Belfield (Rufus). She is receiving radio play on Country and Americana stations throughout the US and internationally.
