Mars Arizona

Mars, Arizona - 8:00 pm
Mars, Arizona has a population of two, Nicole Storto and Paul Knowles, singer songwriters who blend their strong vocals, instrumental prowess and lyrical abilities into a singular vision. Both artists have a distinct style, that when combined, creates a totally original harmonic dance. Knowles is the son of a Baptist preacher man, with a musical education ranging from classic hymns to Woody Guthrie and John Lennon. Nicole Storto is an Arizona native with great chops and an amazing voice. Mars, Arizona is a mythical desert town that the duo visits on weekends to write music; a place where the spirit of Southern Gospel hangs out in the devil’s house on Highway 61.

Ken Will Morton

Ken Will Morton - 8:30 pm
Ken Will Morton is the poor man’s Dylan. He has a rugged, sandpaper voice that is as compelling as a Sunday morning sermon and speaks to the everyman. His sound is a mixture of roots rock and simple poetry that was born somewhere in middle America. Having already toured all over the country, Ken continues to explore the intangible allure of playing rock-n-roll. With his first solo effort “In Rock ‘n’ Roll’s Hands” and a belly full of experience under his belt, the stars are aligning for Morton.
His songs are very kind to their listener, and there’s something very American about this kid. Where does Ken Will Morton see himself in 10 years? “Under the faucet of inspiration, soaking wet and smiling…”

The Weary Boys
The Weary Boys - 9:00 pm
The Weary Boys are as versatile as they are good. In the same night, they captivated a sold out audience opening for Merle Haggard and then later tore the roof off of a rock and roll joint as the headliner. They appeal to a young audience not only because of their age but also because of the speed and intensity with which they present their music. Substituting the mandolin with a telecaster as the lead instrument, The Weary Boys have created a dynamite sound all their own. With their own sound and charismatic live performances, the band has acquired a loyal following and conquered one of the most competitive music scenes in America.

Alison Heafner

Alison Heafner - 9:30 pm
